Basics of Mindfulness Meditation Instruction and Talks on the Fundamentals of Insight
This is an eight-week drop-in program consisting of a two-part evening each Sunday June 8th through July 27th. Feel welcome to attend either or both portions of the evening. Part 1 begins at 6:30pm . 6:30 to 7:15pm – Guided Mindfulness Meditation session: This meditation session will include ongoing guided instruction on the basic mindfulness techniques. Excellent for new learning or review of the basic techniques
7:30 to 8:15pm – Talks on fundamental insights into the nature of reality experienced through Buddhist mindfulness practice. The topics are as follows (in weekly order): Impermanence (June 8), Desire & Aversion (June 15), Mindfulness (June 22), Concepts and Reality (June 29), Suffering (July 6), Karma, Intention, Cause and Effect (July 13), Equanimity (July 20), Lovingkindness and Compassion (July 27).
